Dental disease is one of the most common problems in our dogs and cats. Periodontal disease, gingivitis and tooth loss can be a source of misery for our animal friends, just like for ourselves. Persistant bad breath, loss of appetite, visible tartar on teeth and red-looking gums are some of the signs you pet may be having a problem. Dental exams are a regular part of your pet's annual exam and your veterinarian can advise you on a course of treatment which may include an ultrasonic cleaning, as well as at-home dental care. We are happy to announce that our veterinary hospital has become a Regional Consultation Satellite for Centers for Oral Care. Dr. Don DeForge, Veterinary Dentist and Fellow of the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry, will be available for consultation and treatment of complex oral conditions.
We are now able to offer Advanced Oral Medicine and Oral Surgery services with Dr. DeForge’s presence at our hospital. Root Canals; Crowns; Oral Trauma repair; Cat Stomatitis treatment; and the removal of oral masses are just a few of the services that we can now provide to our hospital family. Many times the geriatric pet needs to be evaluated by an animal dentist in cases of advanced periodontal disease. If you would like just an out-patient consult with Dr. DeForge or wish him to perform a full diagnostic and treatment procedure under general inhalation anesthesia please call 1-800-838-3368. This number will connect you with one of Dr. DeForge’s oral technicians who will be happy to schedule an appointment for you at our hospital.
If you would just like to talk to Dr. DeForge call 1-800-838-3368 and he will return a call to you as soon as possible.
